2026 China International Oil and Gas Exploration Technology Annual Conference and Exchange on New Technologies and Achievements

Against the backdrop of profound transformation in the energy system and deep integration of industrial technologies, oil and gas exploration is entering a period of unprecedented opportunity. Confronted with the dual challenges of rising energy demand and the green transition, the industry is advancing toward greater intelligence, precision, and sustainability. Traditional boundaries of exploration are being continuously redefined, while emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital twins, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are driving the restructuring of exploration workflows and enabling a shift toward predictive, adaptive, and integrated exploration. At the same time, the integration of oil and gas exploration with new energy development, low-carbon operations, and data value mining has become a key frontier of innovation in the industry.

To bring together global expertise, explore next-generation exploration technologies, and jointly address challenges in deep, offshore, and unconventional resource exploration, the Chinese Petroleum Society, PetroChina Oil, Gas & New Energy Company, China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Co., Ltd., Oilfield Exploration and Development Department of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation, Exploration Department of CNOOC Limited, and Oil and Gas Resources Center of China Geological Survey will jointly convene the “2026 China International Oil and Gas Exploration Technology Annual Conference and Exchange on New Technologies and Achievements” in Beijing from October 28 to 30, 2026.
